On this excursion from Tucson, we’ll head north on Thursday to Flagstaff for lunch at the Beaver Street Brewery down town. Then it’s north to Monument Valley with an en-route stop at the very interesting Cameron Trading Post. That evening, we will have a tasty dinner in the Stagecoach Dining Room at Goulding’s Lodge with its wall of glass overlooking the awesome sunset colors on the rock formations. On Friday, we’ll join the lodge’s all-day, expert-guided tour (lunch included) of Monument Valley that includes visits to some famous motion picture venues and some normally off-limits locations. Each night in the lodge theater, there are free screenings of Earth Spirit Show films dealing with the natural history and Navajo people of the area. Early on Saturday morning, we will head south to Chinle, AZ for the 9:00 AM Thunderbird half-day, open-air truck tour of spectacular Canyon de Chelly. That afternoon we’ll do our own driving tour to the many scenic overlooks around the canyon. On Sunday after an overnight at Thunderbird Lodge, it’s homeward bound with a stop at the historic Hubbell Trading Post and passage through the incomparable Salt River Canyon. Tour departs on Thursday at 6:30 AM from and returns on Sunday by 6:00 PM to the Tucson International Airport Park & Save remote lot on the SE corner of S. Tucson Blvd. and E. Corona Rd. where vehicles can be safely parked for $4 per day. Limited to 8 participants. Chief Guide and Top Tyranno: Stephen H. Buck, PhD.

FEE POLICY: Full payment is due on registration (or when requested). To register, send check (payable to Stephen H. Buck) to Stephen H. Buck, P.O. Box 64986, Tucson, AZ 85728-4986. Your check will not be deposited until it is certain that the tour is a GO. If the tour does not go, your uncashed check will be returned to you. Your check is your receipt for payment. If you cancel out 30 days or more before the tour, you will be charged a $100 administrative fee. If you cancel out less than 30 days before the tour, you will forfeit 50% of the full tour fee or $100 (whichever is greater) unless we can find a replacement. If we find such replacement, you will receive a 100% refund. You will receive a 100% fee refund if the tour is cancelled by TyrannoTours.
